Evening Schools of Charity and Mission

What is a school of charity and mission? The name speaks for itself.

In one year, or less, these schools offer a true Christian education with an equal emphasis on prayer life and active mission involvement.

Charity and Mission
A missionary needs a time of apprenticeship because it’s not easy to give witness to the Faith. Before you “hit the streets” teachings are a good way to learn how to speak about one’s faith. Parish missions and street evangelisation are also good practical ways to “expand” one’s comfort zone and rely on God’s grace. For the mission the schools have seen the importance of fraternal charity. A great place to live this charity is around the table ; over a meal the schools share about the Word of God and learn the fine art of chores and thinking of others.

Community life and prayer
The schools of « Charity and mission » are marked by the graces of the Emmanuel Community ; adoration and praise & worship, etc. The students, if they wish, may receive a “companion” to help spiritual growth during the year.

Christian and pastoral education
Education helps discover key points of the Faith, to better understand “the human person” and all his questions also to learn about the Hope that lies within us. The majority of this can be learned simply by participation in class, however it calls the student to a more active and personal involvement
The students are asked to participate weekly so that they may fully take advantage of the year and their presence will ensure that the others live it as well.
